I thought I was gonna be real fuckin' slick with how I laid out this blog.

Turns out I was WAY out of my depth.

Basically, I was trying to lay out this system where I could have the content piped in from a separate document and then I could have a separate link that would go to the standalone blog post. This, as it turns out, is harder than it looks. You actually have to know how to script stuff and the code behaves in all kinds of ways when you don't expect it.

For the time being, I think it's gonna be way easier to just keep the stuff all local to this page and MAYBE do this permalink stuff manually. I don't need to automate everything if it's for a single tranny's blog, at any rate.

I have an issue where I start a new project and I spend way more time fiddling with the toys than actually filling the goddamn thing with content. So consider this a make-good. I'm actually writing a blog post here.

Something about this central blog element is dragging the whole window down 8 pixels. What do I need to do to fix all this?

Update! I made the margin-top negative. This did, unfortunately, make the topbar misbehave. I'll just need to change the animation parameters.

I think this is the kind of thing I would use an iframe for. Like the permalink could link to the standalone post or a standalone post with the border stuff around it. Is that doable? I dunno, but I need to go to bed RIGHT NOW holy fuck

ok so I think if I want to implement tagging, I can have the whole blog window loaded in as an iframe and then queried using JS Array Filtering. I will, however, hold off on this just for the time being lol https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/jsref_filter.asp and, of course, add a THIRD "a" class for when I want to link within a text post. Jesus Christ.
